Effective communication is essential to leadership. The evolution of newer forms of media has presented unique challenges for leaders. This concentration allows students to engage in advanced studies in a variety of communications media and methods. Students may choose to focus their attention on brand management, data mining, negotiation, marketing, reporting, narrative writing, and data visualization (see the course offerings for additional options). Students with an interest in digital and other media will also have the opportunity to work in conjunction with their advisors to tailor their dissertation projects to achieve their academic and professional goals.
